The weather is pleasant and we have had some rain at the weekend but we managed to miss most of the heavy rain, at least it freshened things up a bit. I’m still trying to catch up with myself, I seem to be very busy, this retirement lark isn’t all it’s cracked up to be!

The Swallows have been gathering on the electric wires down on Bere Marsh, busily chattering and flying around keeping fit for the journey later in the year and I suppose the youngsters have to build themselves up  to get to Africa.
