Our morning walk up Melway’s Lane was cut short on 9th March as the lane was blocked, I soon realised why when I saw a large flock of sheep heading our way in the field above. They would have to cross the lane into the fields where they will stay for a while.
I watched for a while as the dogs and farmer moved them down the hill. They are all off the main part of Hambledon Hill being brought down for the lambing season, it will be good to see new life in the fields.
