About my Project

I decided at the beginning of the year that I would like to do some sort of photography project throughout this next year. I had seen some examples in magazines and on the web and thought it was a good exercise.

I decided against the one picture a day option as I felt it was going to take a lot of discipline to to take a picture everyday for a whole year and I felt I would be disappointed if I couldn’t keep it up. I thought one picture a month would give me the flexibility and wouldn’t be so challenging for the first time and maybe the one a day project could be a possibility in the future if this is successful.

I have decided to take an image in the same position looking over the River Stour near home each month of this year. It will allow me to see the changing season in one spot. I recently saw a project where a painter, Stephen Taylor painted the same Oak tree every day for three years! This was some of my inspiration for this project.
