Hello my name is Marilyn and I would like to introduce my family to you. This site is about our family and our interests. We hope you enjoy browsing this website and come back again to see what happens in our corner of the world.

Ellis our black labrador

Our family here in Child Okeford, Dorset, England consists of myself Marilyn, Rod my husband and two dogs.

Ellis the black labrador and Lucy a Whippet Lurcher. Ellis is now 12 years old and still as handsome as ever and still likes to 'chat' up the ladies on his walk!

Lucy was found wandering on Bulbarrow Hill one cold February morning she was in poor condition. After a spell in the Margaret Green Foundation Trust Animal Sanctuary at Winterborne Kingston we adopted her she is now the most laid back, lazy and spoilt dog around and we love her!

We lost our German Shepherd, Quest early this year after a short illness, we all miss her very much as she was part of the team.

Quest the German Shepherd

On the website there are sections on Where we live. Our garden, showing you its development from a grassy expanse to a garden with flowers, vegetables and features.

Lucy the Lurcher

My (Marilyn) studies with the Open University and Genealogy of the the Peddle and Meaker families. With my sister Christine's yearly family tree updates, "Under the Gooseberry Bush", about her quest to find as much information on the Meaker familyas she can.

There is also some memories of Christine and Marilyn's time at Durweston school, which we will add to as and when our recall allows!

The the website is an on-going development project for myself. At the moment I am setting up a Blog which is about the countryside where we live including our photography. There is also a new Photo Gallery, still under construction, but pictures are being added to it regularly. I am also in the process of making a gallery for my pictures I have used in competitions in our local Camera Club. Plus the further development of the Meaker and Peddle genealogy data bases.

Thank you for looking at our site. Please come back again.
